Piercarlo Carcereri - Authenticity and Passion in the Land of Wine

Authenticity and Passion in the Land of Wine

There is a special place, nestled between two woods, where time seems to have stopped: an old vineyard over 70 years old, with low yields but a deep soul. That is where my dream was born. From the beginning, I chose a different path: no shortcuts, no invasive interventions. My grapes must first and foremost be alive, healthy, real. A fruit you can eat... and then drink, with respect.

The Piercarlo Method: Artisanal Care in the Cellar

In my work, there is no rush. I select the bunches several times, by hand, seeking only excellence. And in white wine, where the skins are often discarded immediately, I see an opportunity. I love light, elegant macerations, able to bring out the authentic character of my grapes. I am inspired by the greats: Gravner, Foradori, the courageous winemakers of the Carso. I observe, study, experiment. After years of trials, my two wines are born this way.

From the 19th Century to Today: The Ancient Heart of My Production.

I have taken on the commitment to care for a vineyard whose history dates back to the early 19th century, a true legacy from my great-grandfather. Our three hectares, located between Colognola ai Colli and Barco, rest on precious calcareous soil. The beating heart of my production is the seventy-year-old pergolas, capable of giving me grapes with a complex and elegant structure.

My viticulture is courageous and, above all, respectful. I have banned herbicides and categorically refused weedkillers, choosing a management that uses natural compounds based on essential oils and medicinal plants. I care for the land with patient rigor, convinced that only through this approach can my wines be the authentic and truest expression of our territory.
